Excerpt from the manuscript:
“Looking back in hindsight, it comes as no surprise that the Nineties also gave us something altogether different, the crème de la crème à la Edgar, as The Aristocats might say. Coming out of left field, it was known as Star Trek: Deep Space Nine (1993–1999), the cipher in the Invisible College’s codex. Okay, how did this come about? Seriously folks, it’s a valid question in more ways than one. We have a dark-skinned captain, a gender-bending symbiote, a shape-shifting constable, a genetically enhanced doctor, an honorable warrior banished by his own people and a greedy racketeer with a conscience. In all sincerity, where did this come from? We can’t just blame it on left field. It has an origin story. Yes, that origin story, the original channeled Council of Nine sessions of the Sixties.”
